Her birth was registered by her mother on February 10th 1869 before J W Mackenna, Registrar. By the 1881 census her father has remarried, and Ada now has 2 step brothers and a step sister. Ada and Henry were married "by Certificate", by James Robertson M.A., before Fred H Read, Registrar. Witnesses at the ceremony were John and Amelia Jane Jowsey.
