Notes

Kevin changed his name to Kevin Ireland and is an internationally known poet. He is also a regular contributor to and sub-editor of the New Zealand "Listener" (c.1995). Awarded the O.B.E in 1992, a Fellowship at Otago University and the Watties Book Award are also among his achievements. Published books include: 2 books of translations of a well-known Bulgarian poet's work, Auckland; City & Sea, A Celebration of the New Zealand Novel. Was "Writer in Residence" at Auckland University in 1990.
