Isaac Wykes, Rector of Leavisham [sic] was Bondsman for William & Mary. He
signed his name "William Jowcy". They were married by Licence granted by Robt
Hargeaves, Surrogate, witnessed by Wm King?.. In his will William leaves
everything to his wife except his work tools, which are to go to his son
William, who is also to have the "close at Pickering"after Mary dies. Wm.Jnr. is
to pay to the daughters of Wm.Snr.- £5 to Mary Crosby, £5 to Sarrah Jowsey
and £10 to Margret Jowsey after the death of his mother. The Will was written
7 Jan.1779 before either Sarah or Margaret married
